L’introduzione di meccanismi di valutazione quantitativa nel sistema italiano dell’università e della ricerca ha determinato profondi cambiamenti nel comportamento degli individui sottoposti a valutazione, dal momento che costoro hanno tentato di adattarsi al nuovo ecosistema. Ci sono buone ragioni per essere allarmati da alcuni aspetti di tali cambiamenti e allo stesso tempo vi è una necessità urgente di riorganizzare e razionalizzare la regolazione del sistema universitario.

The introduction of quantitative evaluation mechanisms in the Italian university and research system has determined significant changes in the behavior of individuals subject to evaluation, as they tried to adapt to the new academic ecosystem. There are good reasons to be alarmed by some aspects of these changes; at the same time, there is an urgent need to reorganize and rationalize the regulation of the university system.
