L’articolo studia la Continuazione dell’Entrée d’Espagne di Niccolò da Verona e le continuazioni dell’Entrée contenute nella Spagna in rima e nella Spagna in prosa e nei Fatti de Spagna e cerca di comprendere i rapporti intercorrenti tra i quattro racconti. È certo che questi testi siano imparentati tra loro, perché, sebbene diversi, seguono un medesimo filo narrativo. La difficoltà di razionalizzare la tradizione dipende dal fatto che il canterino della Spagna in rima e i prosatori della Spagna in prosa e dei Fatti de Spagna hanno unito e rielaborato poemi/racconti autonomi che a loro volta già riscrissero l’Entreée e la Ia Continuazione, testo perduto, ma che sicuramente esistette e che molto probabilmente era in prosa franco-italiana.
The article studies Niccolò da Verona’s Continuazione dell’Entrée d’Espagne and the continuations of the Entrée preserved in the Spagna in rima, in the Spagna in prosa and in the Fatti de Spagna, with the aim of understanding the textual relationships between these four texts. It is certain that these texts are related to each other since they essentially tell the same story but with many narrative variants between them. The textual tradition is difficult to trace since both the minstrel of the Spagna in rima and the prose writers of the Spagna in prosa and of the Fatti de Spagna put together and rewrote autonomous poems that in their turns had already re-elaborated the Entrée and the 1st Continuation. The last one is a lost text but that we have to assume existed and was very likely in prose and in Franco-Italian.
