Alessandra Pera
Is PhD Dr. in Comparative Law and Associate Professor at Palermo University- Department of Political Science and International Relations. She teaches Comparative Law and Legal Traditions of the World in Courses of Economic Development and International Cooperation.
Her main research interests are on comparative law, family law, social change, ADR systems and legal tools to protect weak and vulnerable individuals in modern societies.
She is an active member of the International Society of Family Law (ISFL), the Italian Association of Comparative Law (AIDC), Juris Diversitas and academic member at the Athens Institute for Education and Research. She is author of many articles and papers in books, journals and reviews, monographic books and translations of volumes of comparative interest. She has been already visiting at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies University of London between 2015 and 2017, at the Cape Town University – Centre of Comparative Law for Africa 2018, at the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid 2018, at Hanu – Hanoi University 2019. She is member of the Editorial board of the Italian Review Comparazione e Diritto Civile, Comparative Law Review, International Journal of Law and Society and of the Scientific Committee of MediareConUnipa.
